
About Mike Derry
Mike was born and raised in Calgary. He and his wife of 18 years are proud parents of two boys, who attend local public schools. The Derry family is actively involved in the community, particularly through youth sports and local initiatives.
After many years in corporate leadership within the Oil & Gas sector, Mike founded and continues to lead LegendDERRY Talent, a successful human resources and business consulting firm. His experience gives him a strong understanding of both large corporate environments and the realities facing small business owners. He is known for bringing people together to find practical, balanced solutions.
Mike is passionate about helping individuals advance in their personal and professional journeys and is committed to removing barriers that stand in their way. He volunteers extensively with youth hockey, education programs, and local non-profit organizations.
His priorities include affordability, education, health care, and greater transparency in government. He believes in open, honest communication—even when conversations are challenging.
As a member of the United Conservative Party, Mike is seeking the nomination to serve as MLA for Calgary Shaw. He is running to continue giving back to the community that has provided so many opportunities for his family and his business. His focus is, and will always be, on public service and working for the people of Calgary Shaw.

In order to vote in the upcoming United Conservative Party Nomination Election, you must have a membership for at least 21 days prior.
Eligibility:
- Canadian Citizen
- 14+ years of age
- Been residing in Alberta for at least 6 months in the previous 12
